Why a journal
Notes from building Retorik, published only when someone decides they are worth saying.
Retorik makes one claim: the machine drafts, the human decides. This journal is where we test that claim on our own writing.
We will write about voice, and why it is hard to fake. About judgment, and what it means to keep the last word when a machine does the drafting. And about what we learn from building Retorik with the institutions that use it.
Two commitments keep this page honest:
- An entry is published because someone decided it was worth saying, not because a calendar asked for content.
- Every entry is read, judged, and approved by a person before it carries the Retorik name. That is the same standard we ask of our users.
Expect entries occasionally, not weekly.
